Empire State Quilters

I used mixed techniques for this original design quilt.  English paper piecing, foundation piecing, hand applique as well as regular piecing.  The appliqued pieces have perle cotton embroidery either on them or next to them.  My color selection is mostly soft pastels with some medium brights as accents.  The overall feeling is a romatnic quilt with bursts of excitement with stars, hearts and cabbage roses in quilting.
